Protecting the Vote
Defending democracy by ensuring every eligible American can vote without fear or intimidation.

The Challenge
The Threat
to Free and Fair Elections
"We can use what's happening with these ICE officers helping out at the airports as a test run... to really perfect ICE's involvement in the 2026 midterm elections."
The Cost of Voter Intimidation
President Trump and his allies have already signaled their intention to suppress voter participation during the 2026 general election. Research indicates that the threat of ICE deployment at polling places could significantly discourage Black, Latino and Asian voters from exercising their constitutional right to vote.
Trump and his allies will use every tool available to intimidate voters into staying home, including the potential deployment of ICE to polling locations.
Impact Statistics
45%
of U.S.-born Latino voters report feeling less safe because of recent ICE activity.
32%
Reduction in Black voter participation has been linked to the presence of law enforcement at polling places.
Overview
A targeted
response to Voter Intimidation
Operation Liberty was created by the Save America Movement to combat ICE activity as agents expanded operations across cities including Los Angeles, Chicago, Charlotte, Minneapolis, New York, and Newark.
Liberty Vans staffed by journalists, faith leaders, and veterans have already generated thousands of hours of video documentation viewed by millions across social media and traditional news outlets. This footage has also supported legal action, including federal court cases such as the Chicago Temporary Restraining Order case.
The Save America Movement is now expanding Operation Liberty's proven model to protect Black, Latino and Asian voters from ICE fear and intimidation tactics in the 2026 midterm election.
Vote Safe succeeds because of the coalition standing behind it. SAM has partnered with respected organizations whose credibility and community ties help amplify Vote Safe's impact. Together, SAM and our partners reach voters through trusted voices that resonate where they matter most.
By working alongside local organizations, Operation Liberty avoids duplicating efforts while strengthening existing community initiatives.
Our Approach
Protecting the Vote, Together
Building on Operation Liberty's proven tactics confronting and communicating about ICE over the past year, SAM and its trusted local partners will launch a comprehensive communications campaign ahead of early voting through Election Day.
Vote Safe will focus on reducing ICE-related voter hesitancy in Black, Latino and Asian voters communities across key battleground states, ensuring voters receive trusted information before they head to the polls.

Impact
Built for This
Moment
"When government agencies target our neighbors in the shadows, we shine a light. Operation Liberty is a moral response to immoral actions, and it is what this moment demands of us."
When Fear Becomes
a Barrier
The Save America Movement is a highly agile, fearless organization with one mission: defeat authoritarianism and defend democracy.
Over the past year, SAM has completed multiple Operation Liberty deployments across nine cities, building the infrastructure, partnerships, and communications expertise required to confront voter intimidation.
SAM understands how fear spreads through communities and how to counter it through trusted local partnerships, compelling storytelling, and rapid-response communications.
That experience cannot be improvised during an election year.
